Skin Rejuvenation

Lighten, Brighten & Tighten your skin!!!

Turn back the hands of time! A Photofacial quickly and effectively reduces spots, freckles, sun damage, redness and brown spots.  This intense pulse light (IPL) treatment uses a broad array of wavelengths to tackle the reds and brown discolorations in your skin leaving it look youthful and bright.

What do IPL/ Laser Facial treatments feel like?

When the pulse of light is delivered, patients will experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. Gel is recommended to cool the skin before vascular treatments. Anesthesia or pain medicine is typically not required.

How long will the treatments take?

Treatment time depends on the area of the body being treated. However, most treatments should take less than one hour.

How many treatments will I need?

One to three treatments are usually sufficient to see results. Additional treatments may be recommended, especially for excessively sundamaged skin.

What happens after the treatment?

Immediately following treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. The treated area may be mildly swollen. This typically lasts a few hours and possibly a day or longer. Make-up can be applied to cover the redness.

When will I see results?

Within one to three weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade. Diffuse redness or telangiectasia will decrease and your mottled complexion will improve.

Will the spots and redness reappear over time?

New brown spots, telangiectasia and diffuse redness may appear with new sun damage; however they too can be treated. Remember to always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness. Rosacea is chronic and cannot be “cured” with any laser or light source, however its appearance can be improved.

Veins

Unsightly leg and facial spider veins – those small, unsightly clusters of red or purple veins that usually appear on the thighs, calves, ankles and occasionally the face, can be a problem for men and women. The problem affects a wide range of age groups, skin types and lifestyles. The causes of thread veins are unknown although they may be caused by changes in temperature, smoking, hormonal changes, alcohol and prolonged standing as well as being a possible inherited condition.

Fortunately, advanced technology allows us to safely and effectively treat this these veins  without causing any damage to the surrounding areas.

Spider veins are tiny, purple and red blood vessels commonly found on the face or thighs and lower legs.  Although they carry blood, they are not part of the venous valve system and can be eliminated safely and permanently through a simple treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Laser and IPL can be used to remove thread veins on the face, body and legs. Laser treatments will remove fine and large thread veins quickly and effectively and two or three sessions is usually all that is needed to leave your skin feeling smooth and blemish-free. This is a non invasive treatment for veins 1-3 mm in size.

Laser Treatment

Laser treatment provides a very successful option of treating larger facial or leg veins. With lasers, we customize your treatment to deliver precise dosages of energy through a special handpiece to each targeted vein without damaging the surrounding skin. The energy is absorbed by the vein causing thermal coagulation of the blood in the vessel. Over a short period of time the vessel is absorbed by the body. One treatment is often sufficient, but multiple treatments may be necessary.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photorejuvenation

IPL Photorejuenation or PhotoFacial, is very effective when treatment involves a whole network of tiny veins such as facial veins and veins associated with flushing of the skin and rosacea. With IPL, as the light penetrates the skin it is absorbed by small surface blood vessels or pigmentation. The heat generated by the absorbed energy causes thermal damage to the tine vessels which are then reabsorbed by the body as part of its own natural healing process. There typically is no down-time associated with this treatement with which usually occur over 4 – 6 sessions. This treatment is especially effective in redness removal associated with rosacea.
